Why Experiential Training?
Experiential training goes beyond theory, allowing participants to step into others' lived experiences, building empathy and understanding.
Research shows that this approach leads to deeper attitude shifts and more compassionate care than traditional methods (Sheard, 2009; Ballard et al., 2001).
Developed through extensive research in the UK, USA, and Japan, our training supports individuals and teams to engage creatively, ethically, and compassionately with people and their stories.
The Heart of Our Training
Through working closely and creatively with people on their lived experiences for over 18 years, we have gained meaningful insights into mental health, dementia, ageing, and the experiences of those approaching the end of their lives. Our training is shaped by our Creative Life Story approach, which places creativity, consent, choice, deep listening, and shared experiences at its heart. We believe meaningful change happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. More than just skills-building, our training creates space for reflection, connection, and new ways of thinking. Through ongoing sharing and learning, we hope to support those working in the arts, care, community, and public spaces to grow together, shaping more compassionate, inclusive approaches, spaces, and services that truly centre lived experience.
